Toshiba Dynabook N301 netbook unveiled in Japan

The array of netbooks now selling in Japan may probably see a new addition in the form of the Toshiba Dynabook N301 which has recently been unveiled in that region. Whether the offering will go on a globetrotting spree or not hasn’t been divulged, but folks outside Japan who take a liking to this device can always keep their fingers crossed.

What appears to be a key attribute of the netbook is that it may come powered by the new Intel Cedar Trail chip. It is also said to be wrapping in a 10.1-inch display which proffers resolutions of 1024 × 600 pixels. Reportedly, the Toshiba gadget should be seen flaunting Harman Kardon speakers that are embedded into the palm rest space of the offering. This latest portable PC is expected to hide a dual core Intel Atom processor clocked at the speed of 1.86GHz, underneath its hood.

The internal hardware also consists of a 320GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and a GMA 3650 graphics card. The system is integrated with a multi card reader, three USB 2.0 ports and audio ports as well. As per the manufacturer, the device will come incorporated with a battery that provides the juice for up to 6.5 hours on a single charge. This could just be another plus for the netbook which is complete with the Cedar Trail processor. According to Ubergizmo, the hardware doesn’t feature an HDMI port to allow splashing the content from this compact device onto larger screens.

The Toshiba Dynabook N301 release date and price details have not been revealed by the company as yet.
