It looks like Acer is in no mood to give up on its netbook series, as the company has announced the arrival of the Acer Aspire One 725. This device should proffer users an enhanced visual experience, considering that it integrates the AMD APU Fusion technology in its compact form factor.
Prospective buyers will have an option to pick up the glossy netbook in either volcanic black or caribbean blue shades with a matching palm-rest which withstands palm smudges and fingerprints. Measuring less than 1-inch in thickness, it weighs approximately 1.2kg and easily fits into a handbag or backpack. The Acer CineCrystal LED backlit display that renders a 16:9 aspect ratio and HD resolutions, provides a viewing real estate spanning 11.6 inches. It should be apt for watching movies and videos as well as for gaming on the go.
The AMD APU Fusion technology comprises an AMD C processor as well as the AMD Radeon HD 6290 GPU, responsible for faster image processing, multitasking and high definition visuals in addition to swift web browsing and support for heavy applications.
