Besides the previously reported U and S series laptops, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y series, IdeaPad Z series and G series notebooks have also made their first appearance at the CES 2012. The IdeaPad Y480 and Y580 have been especially designed to cater to the entertainment needs of users, while the Z580, Z480 and Z380 are said to strike a balance between value and performance. The G480, G580 and G780 laptops are additions to the company’s essential line of devices.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y series consisting of the 14-inch Y480 and 15-inch Y580 laptops, boasts of capabilities to support intensive multimedia applications. Along with the Intel Core processors, the notebooks are integrated with the Nvidia GeForce GTX660M 2GB GDDR5 graphics. The enhanced audio performance can be attributed to the JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theater V4 audio.

Users can customize the audio and visual experience through a single touch, with the help of the embedded OneKey Theater II. The Y580 variant is also armed with a night view webcam and a backlit keyboard. Moreover, these laptops support Intel Wi-Di technology and come with the optional TV tuner, allowing users to enjoy their content on big screen HDTVs.

With improved sound and entertainment capabilities on the inside and unexpected candy-colors on the outside, we believe that these new consumer devices will help deliver the complete computing experience that individual customers are seeking.”

The Stylish Lenovo Z580, Z480 and Z380 laptops are drenched in shades of apple green, coral blue, peony pink, amber orange, cherry red and graphite grey. Equipped with the Nvidia GeForce GT640M 2GB graphics with DirectX 11, the devices from this series will be available in screen sizes of 13.3, 14 and 15.6 inches. Besides the OneKey Theater II, users can back up or recover data via the OneKey Rescue System. Also included are Intel WiDi technology, HDMI connector, DVD reader and Blu-ray Disc drive.

Further, the Lenovo G480, G580 and G780 laptops don screens of 14, 15.6 and 17.3 inches respectively. Featuring OneKey Rescue system and Veriface facial recognition, the affordably priced G series packs in the company’s exclusive technologies as well as multimedia functionalities.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y series and Z series will be available in April for prices starting at $899 (approx. Rs. 47,290) and $599 (approx. Rs. 31,530), respectively. The Lenovo G series priced upwards from $399 (approx. Rs. 20,990), is slated to hit markets in June this year.
