The super slim laptops by Samsung launched earlier this year in its Series 9 range are now accompanied by new entrants. The Samsung Series 9 laptop line is ready to expand its laptop family with five newly introduced models. All five of them comprise unique configurations fashioned to be in sync with budgets and needs of varied users.
They are supposedly ultra thin, lightweight and give an edge of elegance to its users. There are three 13.3 inch models and two 11.6 inch ones. The 13.3 inch models weighing 2.9lb feature Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. They are made of duralumin, a metal which is apparently two times stronger than aluminum. For storage, the laptops have 256GB SSD embedded in them. They can also be used in dim environs with conveniently, thanks to their backlit keyboards HD LED SuperBright displays. It features seven hours of battery life and 6GB of system memory.
“We’ve seen a very positive reception to the original Series 9 models introduced at CES earlier this year. As we look to expand the line for the remainder of the year, we’ve maintained the premium duralumin design and form factor while offering consumers a wider range of options and powerful performance,†explained Scott Ledterman, director of mobile PC marketing at Samsung Enterprise Business Division.
The company claims that these laptops are very portable and quick in functioning which makes them apt for business people and jet setters. The 11.6 inch models feature 3GB of system memory, Intel Core i3 Processor and a 64GB SSD. All new models are endowed with the company’s FastStart technology via which laptops can be started in just three seconds. They are also equipped with chargeable USB 3.0 connections through which an MP3 player or mobile phone can be charged even when the laptop is switched off.
To be released online and at major electronics retailers over the coming four weeks, the expanded Samsung Series 9 laptop line will have models priced between $1,049 and $2,049 (Rs. 46,806 and Rs. 91,426).
