Samsung Electronics America has declared that its latest range of multimedia and advanced mobile computing options will be available through Best Buy stores and on BestBuy.com. This range includes Q430-11, R580-11 and N150-11 mobile PCs. Samsung’s R780 laptop is already on BestBuy.com.
The Q430-11 is a compact case enclosing style, power, mobility and design for active communication. It has been designed to offer elevated productivity and superior multimedia experience. Its aluminum wrapping and ergonomic design help to enhance its appealing look. The company claims that the 11-inch HD LED-backlit display of the laptop will flaunt detailed and sharp images with strong color reproduction on its 16:9 widescreen.
“The new mobile PC products available at Best Buy continue Samsung’s legacy of unique, customer-focused design aesthetic, while maintaining flexibility for mobile use or as a desktop replacement,†opined Todd Bouman, Director of Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics Information Technology Division. “Best Buy continues to be an important and influential retailer for Samsung allowing our consumers to experience these new products first-hand and make an informed purchase.â€
The Q430-11 is packed with Intel Core i5 processor and 500GB hard drive which facilitates mass storage of digital content. In a bid to enhance graphic quality, Nvidia GeForce has been implanted into the system. In amalgamation with Nvidia 3D graphics processing power and 512MB DDR3 memory, the company upholds that the device will boost graphic performance for HD videos and 3D computer gaming.
To enable teleconferencing and mobile connectivity with ease, the Q430-11 is equipped with an integrated microphone and built-in webcam. Its spacious keyboard enables users to type smoothly and without any snags. In addition, the device has a chargeable USB port which is capable of powering mobile phones and MP3 players even when the laptop is turned off.
It is also embedded with Samsung AllShare technology. With this technology in place, users will be able to control, search, switch and play videos, music and photos not only on the device but across a variety of Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) certified Samsung devices which also include cameras and mobile handsets.
Along with the launch of the Q430-11, Samsung has also made improvements in the R580 series of laptops and the N150 netbook. With the introduction of a Blu-ray optical drive and Intel Wireless Display, the R580 has been upgraded to R580-11. This allows users to stream online content with wireless technology as well as transfer content to their HDTV to enjoy widescreen display. Its appearance has been exalted with Samsung’s signature Touch of Color design while its 15.6-inch HD glossy LED-backlit screen enhances display for users.
The other advanced version namely the N150-11 netbook is a portable computing solution. The 250GB hard drive of the device ensures enough storage space and its 9-hour battery offers energy efficiency. Pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter and Intel Atom N450 processor, it delivers surround technical efficiency. Its 10.1-inch LED-backlit screen is an easy-to-see viewing panel which enables the user to view crystal-clear images.
Samsung’s suite of Performance Applications has been outfitted into all the three devices. With these apps, users can keep up with the latest updates and operate the device at maximum speeds. Samsung’s Support Center will aid users to swiftly update system utilities, create back-up data of vital information and troubleshoot common problems. BIOS, drivers and applications will be automatically updated by Samsung Update Plus.
The Samsung Q430-11 laptop, R580-11 and N150-11 mobile PCs have been put up for sale at Best Buy stores and on BestBuy.com from June 20 onwards. The Q430-11 has been priced at $899 (approx Rs. 41,533) while users will have to pay $489 (approx Rs. 22,587) and $349 (approx Rs. 16,121) for R580-11 and N150-11, respectively.
