Gateway infuses its acclaimed NV Series of notebooks with two new models namely the NV5 and NV7 Series. These offerings are packed with state of the art technology for boosting productivity as well as provide users with social networking capabilities and cinematic entertainment.
The NV5 and NV7 Series offer High Definition Ultrabright LCD widescreen display in two sizes namely 15.6 and 17.3 inch respectively. The models include a built-in social networking button for direct access to sites such as YouTube, Flickr and Facebook. The NV5 unit comes onto the scene with a 1366×768 resolution while the NV7 Series features a 1600×900 display resolution.
Both notebooks also comprise of two built-in stereo speakers, HDMI port and support for high definition audio. Some of the laptops include Blu-ray video players while the Gateway NV7 series boasts of ATI Mobility Radeon HD graphics for getting the best out of PC games. It is also endowed with 802.11b/g/n WiFi Certified connectivity, integrated High-definition webcam and Gigabit Ethernet LAN connectivity.

The complete Gateway NV lineup houses AMD Athlon and AMD Turion processors as well as Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors. They provide up to 4GB of DDR3 memory which is upgradeable to 8GB. Consumers are treated to large capacity hard drives which range from 320GB to 640GB.
The company also offers them MyBackup functionality, multi-gesture touchpad, dedicated numeric keypad and touchpad lock. The Gateway NV series sports a sleek and chic appearance complete with subtle wave pattern etched on the matte chassis lid as well as a glossy-black interior.
The NV Series bears a starting price of $529.99 (approx. Rs.23,894) while the Gateway NV59C09u comes complete with a 2 year limited warranty and weighs just 5.72 lbs with a 6-cell Li-Ion battery. This particular notebook costs $799.99 (approx. Rs.36,067).
