HCL recently announced its new 3G enabled netbook in the form of the HCL ME 06. The company has also unwrapped an all new HCL ME 45 notebook.
The HCL ME 06 comes integrated with 3G capabilities. It brings to users seamless and faster connectivity. The netbook has been modishly designed for the youth and business professionals on the go.
The HCL ME 06 netbook is Energy Star 5.0 certified, allowing users to pick among several colors including red, blue and pink. Powered by Intel Atom N270, it packs in a 160GB HDD, 10.1-inch LCD panel with LED backlit and integrated Bluetooth and camera.
On the other hand, the HCL ME 45 notebook boasts of a multi-touch gesture touchpad. Users can expand, shrink and rotate an image with movement of figures on the touchpad. Some notable features of the notebook are Split ME that allows users to share data irrespective of the file size and LOCK ME prevents data theft as it avoids access to the device without user authorization. The Secure ME effortlessly locks any application installed on the PC while Encrypt ME further assures against data theft. Thus, users’ data is safe and secure within the device.
The HCL ME 45 sports a 15.6-inch screen with LED display and comes with support for MS Vista Business and Win 7 Professional. Some other attributes include Intel GM 45 chipset, 5-in-1 card reader, and 4 USB ports.
The HCL ME 06 netbook is priced at Rs. 19,990 while the HCL ME 45 notebook can be purchased for Rs. 39,990, in India.
