Toshiba unveils Toshiba Satellite, Qosmio Laptops and Netbooks with Windows 7

For easier navigation and accessibility, Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., unveiled its line of Satellite and Qosmio consumer laptops with the highly anticipated Windows 7.

With the newest processors and large storage, the user could store a lot without congesting the laptop. The lineup features an extensive variety of screen sizes and is claimed to be styled to suit every taste. There are just some of the benefits that is available.

Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division, commented, “From faster performance and extended battery life to simplified navigation and connectivity to new ways to share media, Windows 7 greatly enhances the PC experience. With Windows 7 and our new laptops, people can get exactly what they want, innovations they can see and touch, at prices they can afford.”

One of the laptops which will be available with Windows 7 is the Satellite U500 Series. It has a 13.3-inch high-def diagonal widescreen display. It has an enormous battery life. It will be available in four colors. The starting price is $698.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 32,275). The next laptop is Satellite M500 Series. It features a performance-class technology with a 14-inch diagonal high-def LED backlit display for enjoying digital media and entertainment. The starting price is $699.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 32,328)

The Satellite A500 Series has a 16-inch diagonal widescreen HD Edge-to-Edge display on select models, harman/kardon speakers, optional Blu-ray disc players and Fusion Finish and high capacity hard drives. The starting price is $589.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 27,248). The Satellite P500 Series features an 18.4-diagonal widescreen HD TruBrite display. Along with the harman/kardon speakers, it also has slot-loading DVD-drives. It also includes a Blu-ray disc player and/or illuminating LED backlit keyboard. The starting price is $799.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 36,939)

The Satellite L500 Series are available with either a 14-, 15.6-, 16- and 17.3-inch diagonal display sizes and have hard drives ranging from 250GB to 500GB. The starting price ranges from $504.99 to $579.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 23,297 to Rs. 26,757).Toshiba’s newly unveiled ultra-thin Satellite T100 Series laptops includes Windows 7 Home Premium and provides performance, in a highly portable package. The starting price is $449.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 20,756).

The lately announced Qosmio X500 Series line of performance laptops feature the new Intel Core i7 processor and Blu-ray disc players. It is available in two configurations. The Qosmio X505-Q830 laptop has an 18.4-inch HD TruBrite diagonal widescreen display, 320GB hard drive, 4GB of memory. The starting price is $1,449.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 66,880). The Qosmio X505-Q850 laptop features an 18.4-inch HD TruBrite diagonal widescreen display, a dual hard drive configuration with a 64GB solid state drive and a 6GB of memory. The starting price is $1,899.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 87,637).Toshiba will install Windows 7 on its popular line of netbooks. Toshiba mini NB200 Series is in multiple configurations with either 160GB or 250GB hard drive configurations. A choice of 5 color finishes is available. The starting price is $399.99 MSRP (approx Rs. 18,452).

The new Toshiba consumer laptops will be available through chief retailers and also from toshibadirect.com starting October 22.
