A younger sibling of the Eee PC 1008HA Seashell, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA has appeared in the public in two variations such as the 1005HA-M and the 10005HA-H. Though there is no official announcement from the company, Engadget states that both the models have been revealed overseas (most likely in France).
In the 1005HA-H netbook, company allegedly incorporates most of the same specifications as the Seashell and adds two extra USB 2.0 ports along with a 6-cell battery. The 1005HA-M takes the lower-end approach with features such as a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, a 6-cell battery for 8 hours of operation and a 1.3 megapixel webcam minus Bluetooth.
Measuring 262 x 178 x 26.5-35.5 mm (W x D x H), both the versions support Windows XP operating system, VGA, LAN RJ-45.2, audio jack and card reader (MMC/SD/SDHC). It is presumed that they boast removable batteries.
These variants are expected to release in France by July 2009 for €349 (1005HA-H) and €299 (1005HA-M).
Additionally, there is yet another iteration of the Eee PC 1005HA, known as the 1005HAB. This Asus device possibly comes equipped with a 10-inch display that offers a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB of storage and 6-cell 2,200mAh removable battery. It is said to be 35.5mm thick and 1.4kg in weight. More gossip declares that the 1005HAB netbook is already listed for pre-order on several websites for 349 Euros (approx. Rs. 23,375).
