Acer announces the launch of two new notebooks, namely the TravelMate 6593 and TravelMate 6493.
Designed for mobile professionals, the new notebooks offer robust, secure and powerful PC solutions for corporate and small-to-medium (SMB) business customers.
Powered by Intel Centrino 2 Processor with vPro Technology, the notebooks features include integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 MHD, 250 GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive, DVD-Super Multi Double-Layer drive, 5-in-1 digital media card reader, 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wi-Fi, Acer Crystal Eye Webcam with Acer Video Conference Manager software and support for Windows Vista Business operating system.
The TravelMate 6493 sports a 3GB DDR3 1066 MHz Dual Channel Memory, while the TravelMate 6593 offers 4GB DDR3 1066 MHz Dual Channel Memory.
Both the 14.1-inch TravelMate 6493 and the 15.4-inch TravelMate 6593 come with WXGA high-brightness TFT LCD panels with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. They are compatible with Acer GridVista business toll that provides simultaneous multi-window viewing one screen.
Additionally, the TravelMate 6593 and 6493 notebooks come with Acer MediaBay hot-swappable solution, enabling users to choose from an extra hard disk, a second battery or an optical drive with either a DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive or DVD/CD-RW combo.
On the security front, the latest Acer laptops integrate the company’s Bio-Protection digital imprint reading solution and Acer FingerLaunch. Both devices also bundle Acer ezDock II and ezDock II/II+ commercial docking stations that feature an innovative plug-n-play solution that allows instant connection of multiple devices in one simple operation and dock notebooks without having to reboot.
The Acer TravelMate 6593 and TravelMate 6493 notebook PCs with ezDock II and ezDock II+ commercial docking stations are available now via Acer’s authorized resellers for an estimated price of $1499 (approx. Rs. 73,125) and $1299 (approx. Rs. 63,370), respectively.
