HP to showcase Firefly Gaming Notebook with Dual-Screen and Multi-Touch at CES

HP Logo Laptop Magazine gets a preview of the new conceptual gaming laptop from HP and Voodoo, called the Firefly, which will apparently be displayed at the CES.

Boasting a dual screen setup, the 13-pounds Firefly is said to offer a resolution of 800 x 640 on 4.3-inch mini screen located beneath the 17.1-inch 1920 x 1200 main display. With this, multitasking is now just a glance away. While playing an engrossing game on the main screen, you can keep track of your e-mails, chatting windows, videos or any other application via the small display.

Supporting multi-touch capability, the gaming laptop would allow users to control operation through gestures.

Apart from that, the speculated Firefly features a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core CPU, a 4 GB of RAM and a pair of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 GPUs with a 7,200 rpm 250GB HDD. It is also believed to incorporate Creative X-Fi audio, backlit keyboard and webcam that captures effective images in the dark as well.

The concept gaming notebook is touted to be ‘HP Firefly with Voodoo DNA’.
