Lenovo and ARC International have announced their partnership to integrate ARC Sonic Focus software in the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 ultra-portable notebook PC.

Running the Microsoft Vista operating system, the ARC Sonic Focus software delivers various advantages to the ThinkPad X300 computing device. These attributes include an ability to convert flat and lifeless digitized audio into rich sound, restore the realism and emotion of the original performance, and transform stereo audio into natural surround sound with the help of existing speakers or headphones.

Tom Paddock, vice president of audio systems at ARC International, noted, “Consumers’ multimedia experiences have suffered as audio has migrated to compression formats such as MP3. ARC’s Sonic Focus technology returns the life and fidelity to music and movies that the digitization process has compromised. The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 is another example of how consumers using electronics devices incorporating ARC’s Sonic Focus audio enrichment technology are benefiting from an improved experience that returns clarity, realism and depth to their multimedia content.”

Besides, the 13.3-inch laptop is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SL7100 processor and comes packed with Intel GMA X3100 graphics card, a 2 GB HDD and 64 GB solid-state drive.

There has been no word on pricing of the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 laptop with ARC Sonic Focus software as of yet.
