Acer India announces ‘Lage Raho Acer Bhai’

Acer laptop Acer India, one of the world’s top three branded PC vendors pronounces a new retail scheme which is open to all Acer Mall and Acer Points across the country. The elite ‘Lage Raho Acer Bhai’ scheme will run during May – June, 2007. ‘Lage Raho Acer Bhai’ scheme is exclusively designed for retail partners to reward them through a host of schemes accessible to them on a monthly and quarterly basis which is over and above the regular schemes offered for the channel partners.

The giant PC vendor’s regular schemes consist of monthly booster schemes, TOB for achieving quarter targets and an exclusive booster for AMD based Acer SKUs. This scheme turns up at an appropriate time when retail partners can aim at schools and colleges that are set to re-open with AMJ considered as a strong retail quarter.

According to S. Rajendran, GM – Sales and Marketing, Acer India, “Retail is the way forward for the PC industry in India. In an environment such as ours, where the consumer has multiple choices of brands each day, retailing becomes a key medium to reach out to them. In such a scenario, it is very important to reward and recognize the efforts of our retail community. This incentive scheme is one of many initiatives that we have for our retail partners. Acer has always set new standards in everything we have pursued. Recognition as innovators and a reputation as leaders in our field is something that we have always strived for”.

The scheme splits into three sub schemes namely – the ‘Powerplay’, ‘Mad about AMD challenge’ and the ‘Acer Warrior club” award. The award for a monthly booster scheme is ‘Powerplay’, which motivates retailers to extend their purchases throughout the month. The ‘Mad about AMD Challenge’ is a special contest in association with AMD notebooks and desktops where Acer will continue to test the demand for AMD within the retail community. The ‘Acer Warrior club’ award is an additional booster for achieving the quarterly targets.
