Alienware Notebook with 320 GB HDD

Alienware, manufacturer of high-performance desktop, notebook and professional systems, has announced the first laptop in the industry having 320 GB hard disk.

The new laptop features single and dual Samsung 320GB hard drive configurations in RAID 0 and RAID 1 in the 17″ Area-51 m9750 and Aurora m9700 notebooks. Also a single Samsung 320GB configuration can be found in the 15.4″ Area-51 m5550 notebook.

The Area-51 m9750 and Aurora m9700 notebooks are equipped with 640GB of hard drive space. Thus these are the ideal notebooks for users who require a bigger storage space. They can store:

  • Up to 107 games (6GB per game)
  • Up to 160 movies (4GB per movie)
  • Up to 163,000 songs or audio files (4MB per song), making it possible to listen to continuous, non-repeating music for an incredible 679 days straight
