Buffalo TeraStation Pro WSS debuts in India

Buffalo Technology today launched a RAID based network attached storage (NAS) called the TeraStation Pro WSS in India. Equipped with the power of a Windows Server operating system, it comes in capacities of up to 12TB in desktop model and up to 8TB in the Rack mount version.

Powered by Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Workgroup Edition, the Pro WSS offers smooth operation with the company’s computers and servers. It integrates the Intel Atom Dual-Core processor which focuses on concurrent tasks with reduced performance degradation and maximum network throughput. The TeraStation Pro WSS is capable of enabling full disk encryption and supports NTFS for specific file-level security. It also incorporates the Onboard Native Active Directory to allow integration with large Windows networks.

This new network storage option by Buffalo is believed to deliver the most robust file server experience. The company says that it provides a dependable solution for businesses and is easy to administer into Windows workgroup or domain environments besides being cost effective.

The Buffalo TeraStation Pro WSS comes with a three year limited warranty and will soon be available across authorized Buffalo retail stores in India.
