Chipped at 32”, 42”, 47” or 55”, the LW450U Cinema 3DTV features full HD, 2D to 3D conversion, LED plus with Spot Control, TruMotion 100Hz, DivX HD Plus and Wireless AV Link. The 42”, 47” and 55” LW550T and LW650T also incorporate the aforesaid attributes. Apart from these, the TVs even integrate Freeview HD, Smart TV and Magic Motion remote-enabled technologies.

“This is a very exciting time for LG, we strongly believe in the real benefits that these new technologies will bring to consumers,” stated Stephen Gater, CE Marketing Director. “With research showing that 88% of consumers prefer the viewing experience of Cinema 3DTVs, it is great to think that for the first time ever, LG is bringing the 3D experience that consumers enjoy so much in Cinemas to the comfort of home.”

LG has not left out plasma TVs from the news, with the 50” or 60” PZ570T and PZ950T featuring 2D to 3D conversion, 600Hz sub-field driving and Freeview HD. The devices are THX ratified and deliver 2D as also 3D content in full HD 1080p resolutions. Other specs involve DivX HD Plus and Smart TV for both and the inclusion of a Magic Motion remote with the PZ950T. LG bundles each of these TVs with one pair of Active 3D glasses too.

Sky customers in the U.K. are eligible for discounts of up to £400 (approx Rs. 29,000) on an LG Cinema 3DTV until June 7, 2011. Each model is shipped with seven pairs of glasses and extra pairs can be ordered for as low as £2 (approx Rs. 150) apiece. The aforementioned are polarized glasses which do not call for batteries, charging or synchronization with the TV. The availability through major retailers is slated for mid of this month.
