Vizio XVT line-up of HDTVs flaunt TruLED technology

Vizio XVT553SV HDTV

It seems to have been a really long time since most manufacturers and content providers started ruling in favor of HD entertainment over SD. Vizio has introduced the 55” XVT553SV, 47” XVT473SV and 42” XVT423SV HDTVs as part of its XVT series that integrates Full Array TruLED LCD HDTV technology with Smart Dimming capabilities. Each of these variants display 10,000,000:1 contrast ratios as well as 240Hz SPS refresh rates.

The depths of these gadgets are reduced from 5” to less than 3”, giving them slimmer and stylish form factors. Featuring Edge Lit technology, the devices display variations in both light and dark from screen edge to the center. Users are also offered better viewing angles accompanied with uniform brightness. The HDTVs have the ability to turn off individual zones of LEDs as well.

“Vizio is solidifying its position as a technology and performance leader with the introduction of the new generation of XVT HDTVs,” affirmed John Schindler, Vizio VP New Products. “Our dedication to high performance drives us to use the best commercially available technology. Each of our XVT TruLED sets uses a Full Array with local dimming that produces an unquestioned superior picture. Many competitive manufacturers have decided to use only Edge Lit technology in their flagship products, but edge lighting results in an inevitable compromise in performance.”

While the XVT553SV and XVT423SV flaunt 120 Smart Dimming zones, the XVT473SV model reaches up to 160 zones. Moreover, the Smooth Motion technology reduces the possibility of blurred images while playing out the visuals. Additionally, these devices let users access the web through the built-in Vizio Internet Applications. They also come with Wi-Fi dual band 802.11n capability.

The dual Bluetooth/infrared ready slide-out remote control is fitted with a QWERTY keypad. The audio ability of the gadgets is supported by SRS TruSurround HD premium audio processing apart from the high-quality speakers. The SRS TruVolume feature lets users enjoy sound devoid of sharp jumps that may occur when switching from one channel to another channel.(CH-from one channel to another) Each of these HDTVs has its chassis embedded with five HDMI 1.3 inputs.

The Vizio XVT553SV HDTV is priced at $2,199 (approx. Rs. 1,02,590), while the XVT473SV can be picked up for $1,799 (approx. Rs. 83,930). Entertainment enthusiasts may purchase the XVT423SV for $1,199 (approx. Rs. 55,940).
