Samsung shines with its 2010 lineup of eight new Plasma Ultra Slim TVs

Samsung logoIt appears that Samsung is on a roll when it comes to unraveling its treasure chest of products. Just recently, the company unveiled new Full HD 3D LED TV lineup as well as a brand new e-Reader. Now Samsung Electronics America Inc. takes the covers off the pricing and availability of its 2010 lineup of Ultra-Slim Plasma HDTVs. The latest offering comprises of three series namely 8000, 7000 and 6500 which range from 50 inches to 63 inches with the former two models 3D-enabled.

The Samsung Plasma HDTV 8000 Series includes integrated 3D technology as well as various innovations such as Motion Judder Canceller and Real Black Filter which reduce motion judder and onscreen glare respectively. The models present in this series sport a sleek brushed titanium-colored bezel complete with the company’s Touch of Color design. They are also packed with Samsung’s CinemaSmooth technology which achieves playback of 24fps Blu-ray content.

“Samsung has raised the bar for the plasma TV marketplace by providing exceptional picture quality in a slim and energy efficient package. With our 2010 select models which include 3D capabilities and Web-enabled multimedia access through Samsung Apps, we are delivering on our promise to create products that evolve with the needs and desires of our customers,” commented John Revie, senior vice president of Home Entertainment for Samsung Electronics America.

The Samsung Plasma HDTV 7000 Series includes loads of picture and viewing enhancing technologies which can be spied in a sleek brushed black bezel appearance. The built-in 3D processor is noted to be compatible with all major 3D formats as well as broadcast TV, legacy DVDs and gaming content. This along with Samsung’s 3D Blu-ray player and 3D active glasses is set to offer viewers a 3D theater experience from the comfort of their very own home. The series also features the company’s Clear Image Panel technology and Internet@TV connectivity.

According to the company, the slim Samsung Plasma HDTV 6500 Series is the opening price point of the array. The product comprises of Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer, Clear Image Panel and the updated Internet@TV feature with an appearance drenched in Samsung’s signature ToC design. The models featured in this offering include a high-efficiency panel which achieves low power consumption and hence meets the strict Energy Star 4.0.

The price range of the eight new Plasma Ultra Slim TVs starts from $1,599.99 (approx. Rs.72,695) to $3,799.99 (approx. Rs.172,652). All these products can be acquired from May onwards.
