Vizio rolls out array of LCD HDTVs for 2010

Tech enthusiasts craving to get their hands on latest LCD HDTV’s will certainly enjoy this one. Vizio is all set to expand their product line-up by introducing their most all-inclusive collection of 37 models in the XVT Pro Series, XVT Series and M Series. The screen sizes of these HDTVs range from 16-inch to 72-inch.

The XVT Pro series with TruLED integrates Vizio’s most superior HDTV technologies, counting 480Hz SPS with Smooth Motion and Smart Dimming. Moreover, majority of their Razor LED sets merge Smart Dimming for accurate black levels and favorable image quality. All the devices are planned with slender, chic attributes that correspond with superior performance.

Majority of the HDTVs provide Vizio Internet Apps (VIA), en suite high definition wireless i.e. 802.11n dual-band or wired networking to facilitate on demand movies, TV episodes, music and several online content. Vizio is also said to be supplying audio quality by means of SRS audio processing. Vizio’s LED LCD HDTV designs assure rich competence and Energy Star 4.0 qualification for all the devices.

Noah Horowitz, Senior Scientist, Natural Resources Defense Council, stated, “With their new product line, most of Vizio’s new TVs will use roughly 50% less power than their prior models. Much of this remarkable progress is made through the use of state of the art light emitting diodes (LEDs) to illuminate the TV screen. What’s particularly encouraging about their announcement is that Vizio is making these energy saving improvements across the board. Whether it is simply a smaller 19” TV for the kitchen or a 55” big screen TV for the family room, their customers can be assured that they are buying an energy efficient one.”

One of the first set of HDTVs in the product line-up is the XVT Pro Series TruLED 1080p FHD 480Hz SPS with Smooth Motion and Smart Dimming. This collection of HDTVs are Vizio’s 72-inch, 55-inch and 47-inch Full HD3D TVs advance refresh rates to 480Hz SPS in the company of Vizio’s Smooth Motion technology. Smart Dimming circuitry regulates hundreds of zones of LEDs for each screen to the accurate light level per picture frame. A Bluetooth widespread remote control with gliding QWERTY keyboard is comprised in the HDTV. Wireless HDMI facilitates the TV to obtain HD video and audio from sources devoid of an HDMI cable.

The second series includes the XVT Series TruLED 1080p FHD 240Hz SPS with Smooth Motion and Smart Dimming. This set of devices provide 240Hz SPS (Scenes Per Second) refresh rates in the company of Smooth Motion technology to allow amazing image quality owing to their TruLED backlighting technology. The third set comprises of the XVT Series Razor LED 1080p FHD Sets with 120Hz Smooth Motion and Smart Dimming. This class of devices comes with Vizio’s first Razor LED edge-type 37-inch and 32-inch sets along with 16 zones of Smart Dimming. These Full HD 120Hz sets have less than two-inch thin profile and a vibrant contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Here the brightness comes for 450 nits. The rest of the features are similar to the XVT series.

The fourth set encompasses the XVT Series Razor LEDs in Small Screen Sizes. These devices features 23-inch and 19inch HDTVs. The devices are ultra thin comprising only 1.7 inches. It also includes an edge-to-edge glass screen and chrome edging. Via Edge-type LED backlights, they attain a brightness of 300 nits, with a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. An incorporated USB port facilitates digital photo frame to work well. By means of ambient light sensing technology for supplementary energy efficiency, these ecological sets are said to be Energy Star 4.0 acquiescent.

The fifth set embraces the M Series TruLED 1080p FHD 120Hz Sets with Smooth Motion. These M Series come in 55-inch, 47-inch and 42-inch sizes, via Edge-type LED backlighting that enables a two-inch profile. The dynamic contrast ratios 1,000,000:1 are observed in the 47-inch and 55-inch models and a 1,00,000:1 is noted in the 42-inch models having a brightness of 450 nits.

The sixth set boasts of M Series Razor LED 1080p FHD Sets in 37-inch and 32-inch Screen Sizes. These slender design mid-size devices provide either 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rates, with vibrant contrast ratios of up to 100,000:1.

The seventh set includes the M Series Razor LED LCD HDTVs in Small Screen Sizes. The screen sizes for this set begins from 16-inch and end at 26-inch. These smooth and slender Razor design HDTVs offer 60Hz refresh rates with either 1080p or 720p resolution. The M261VP and the M220NV are claimed to be the tiniest obtainable screen sizes.

Some of the HDTVs are all set to hit the market from this month onwards. The price of the HDTVs will start from $199.99 (Rs. 9,067) onwards.
