Sharp has introduced the all new LX series HDTVs in the Japanese market. This series includes four models- LC-60LX1, LC-52LX1, LC-46LX1 and LC-40LX1. All these models include newly developed LCD panel with LED backlighting. Moreover, the advanced features of the LX series promise to deliver an enhanced image quality and environmental performance.

The LX series HDTVs incorporate Sharp’s proprietary UV2A photo alignment technology that promises to deliver brighter whites and extremely deep blacks. The light output of these TVs can be precisely controlled by the LED backlight. The LX series is said to consume the lowest amount of energy in the industry.

The devices also promise to produce clear picture of fast moving images. The highlight of these HDTVs is their 20,00,000:1 contrast ratio. The series also flaunts a six speaker system with duo bass sub-woofer and 2.1-channel set-up.

All these four models will initially be released in Japan. The LC-60LX1 is expected to be made available by November 25 while the LC-52LX1, the LC-46LX1 and the LC-40LX1 will be made available by November 10. Apparently, the four models of the LX series are expected to be priced at $6,100 (approx. Rs. 292,605), $5,000 (approx. Rs. 239,840), $3,900 (approx. Rs. 187,075) and $2,800 (approx. Rs. 134,292) respectively.
