NuVision Lucidium FX5 series HDTV unveiled

NuVision FX5 Series HDTV

NuVision has launched its Lucidium FX5 series with an all new 32-inch limited edition LCD HDTV. Well, earlier NuVision had introduced Deep Black LCD displays that flaunt a resolution of 1080p. The highlight of this new LCD is its pink frame. This series supports a breast cancer awareness program as well as plans to donate a part of their sales proceeds to the cause.

The FX5 promises to deliver high-quality, razor-sharp images. It also flaunts the company’s FX5 and FFM technologies. It is also said to do away with the 3:2 pull down algorithm that is a must for all 60Hz display. To eliminate this need, the HDTV recreates each frame five times.

“We wanted to bring a television to market that was different than anything else out there,” says NuVision vice chairman David Hester. “We loved the idea of a pink-framed unit because it’s not only an alternative to traditional 32″ displays, but because of the obvious ties to breast cancer research. It’s not only important for us to manufacture high-end LCD’s, but we’d like to be known as a company that gives back as well.”

The Lucidium FX5 utilizes 120Hz instead of 60Hz and also supports a high refresh rate for the panels. The FFM technology claims to deliver clear and flicker-free images, even while watching faster sports and motion sequences. It achieves this feat by comparing two consecutive frames and creating an additional interpolated frame. NuVision also offers an option to shut these advanced functions off completely in order to control latency issues.

The pricing and availability details of the NuVision Lucidium FX5 series HDTV are still to be disclosed. But the company does mention that this limited edition HDTV will be made available with a full two year in-home manufacturer’s warranty on all labor parts.
