Modai BFF Phone concept lends a friendly, humane touch to technology

Modai BFF Phone

For users who are tired of seeing similar looking hi-tech smartphones being unleashed by the dozen, the Modai BFF Phone may just come in as a breath of fresh air. Built by designer Julius Tarng, this cute handset concept claims to be a best friend cum mobile phone which provides a humane touch to its day to day operations.

Boasting of providing users with a sense of belongingness, the Modai phone makes daily tedious work more exciting and fun. Yanko Design reports that its screen is sectioned into two parts namely, Fundai and Prodai. While Fundai keeps users informed about their social commitments, Prodai displays the work schedule. With two different screens for personal and work functions, device owners can maintain their day’s schedule in a more stable way. The handset also sorts and distributes the incoming content into their respective screens.

Another cute factor associated with this mobile device is the presence of a tiny yellow avatar which keeps popping up onscreen throughout the day to inform users about the weather, time, wake up call and battery power, among various other things. It literally brightens up the display with its antics. For example, when the handset is running low on power, this avatar will wear a sad expression and after the device has been connected for charging, it would light up and chuckle. The Modai offering performs many such unique and quirky functions which aim to personalize the whole mobile phone experience.

As the Modai BFF Phone seems to still be in the concept stage, no information about its release date or price has been revealed.
