The rising temperature and droplets dripping over the brow have hauled us throughout the month of April. Well, it has been equally steamy in the tech-realm as well. This month finally saw the arrival of the highly anticipated rather over-hyped Apple iPad. After a string of rumors and mixed reactions, the device emerged and was made available to users on April 3. In fact more than 300,000 units were sold in one day. We are sure, most of us have heard enough about the iPad so without elaborating much lets move on to the next gizmo.

BenQ dished out its new LED monitors for the Indian market which claim to be the slimmest ever. The three new V series models in the LED display range include V920, V2220H and V2420H. These extremely thin models are energy efficient with low power consumption and the models have been optimized for the Internet, work, and TV/video applications.

LG’s line-up of phones with appetizing handset names got a new member – the LG GD580 Lollipop put forth especially for the Mother’s Day. The specs and chic-look of the phone would spin in a wonderful day for the significant woman in our lives. The spec sheet of the phone reveals a 7.11 cm WQVGA screen, large ergonomic keypad, Emoticons, 3MP camera, MP3 player, FM Radio, Bluetooth 2.0 and 50MB of internal memory expandable up to 16GB.

With the summer holidays already in full swing, we see kids very much in their element as they run and jump about soaking up every ounce of the sun as well as the wonderful holidays. Both devices seamlessly merge PC with online services for new experiences like the Loop, Studio and Spot. The One model is a compact piece complete with 5 megapixel camera while the Two handset includes a high resolution 8 megapixel camera and record HD video. They automatically get together Microsoft and third party services like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and KIN Spot.

While we all wait for R.U.S.E to hit the gaming arena, gamers’ hunger is further satiated with the SteelSeries Xai Laser Mouse and Qck Limited Edition mousepad. The offering is outed in collaboration with the company along with game developers Ubisoft. The mouse includes pro-gamer recommended R.U.S.E profiles that can be downloaded from the company’s official website. It also sports an ambidextrous shape complete with a 10.8 megapixel/second sensor. The SteelSeries Qck R.U.S.E limited edition mousepad is spiced up with graphics that seem to be plucked right out of the game. It is fashioned with an optimized textured surface and high quality cloth material.
