Canon has recently uncovered its new EOS 7D Digital SLR camera, a class-leading digital camera for photography admirers. The company redefines its highly competitive mid-range DSLR product category with introducing this highly advanced device. The innovative EOS 7D digital SLR camera features fast 8 fps continuous shooting with class-leading 18-megapixel sensor.

The newly introduced EOS 7D promises to deliver optimum performance for photography admirers. Users will be offered with diverse camera functions alongside ensuring superior quality. It is believed that this magnificent digital camera stands alone as the most functional and innovative DSLR Canon introduced so far.

The device comes with excellent professional features including full HD video recording with variable frame rates and manual exposure control. The digital camera boasts significant EOS advancements which include a completely new 19-point Autofocus system. It also features a new Canon ifCL Metering System offering phenomenal focus, color, contrast and luminance.

Photography lovers will find this digital camera equipped with most of the excellent features making the entire photography an overwhelming experience. The EOS 7D comes with an Intelligent Viewfinder, an 18-megapixel Canon CMOS sensor along with Dual DIGIC 4 Imaging processors that power EOS 7D’s 14-bit A/D data conversion and its ability to freeze fast motion in high-resolution with eight fps continuous shooting up to 126 Large JPEGS using a UDMA CF card.

Users can now capture beautiful low-light images or photos with or without a flash due to its wide range of ISO speed settings from 100-6400 (expandable to 12,800). The EOS 7D also features Full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution with selectable frame rates of 24p, 25p or 30p.

Canon’s latest digital camera boasts of highly advanced AF system in an EOS SLR which also includes a new multi-axis cross-type 19-point AF grid bringing more unprecedented performance level. The AF system enables several AF area selection modes where Spot AF mode helps in reducing the size of a single AF point in order to focus on small subjects. Its AF Point Expansion mode has a cluster of AF points adjacent to the selected AF point to automatically assisting in focusing on moving subjects. On the other hand, the Zone AF mode helps in dividing 19 AF points into five selectable focusing zones. Besides, it makes it easier to achieve focus with subjects that are difficult to track with Single Point AF or AF point expansion.

The AF system’s modifications also offer a revised Automatic AF point selection sequence enabling users to choose any one of the 19 AF points as a starting point as a starting point for tracking moving objects in AI Servo mode. Besides, there is also a time saving feature in AF Point Switching, enabling photographers select and register one AF point for horizontal compositions. The second AF point enables for vertical shooting, ideal for studio and portrait photographers.

The latest EOS 7D digital camera’s exposure metering system considers color information in order to deliver a better photography experience. Its iFCL metering feature offers a 63-zone-dual-layer metering sensor enabling users to read both illumination and color for consistent results in all lighting conditions. The feature also helps in keeping exposure levels stable from shot to shot, even as the light source changes.

On the other hand, Canon’s new Intelligent Viewfinder comes with a liquid crystal overlay. It brings quite clear and precise displays of focusing points and zones, on-demand grid lines and a spot metering circle. Its LCD overlay has the capability to be illuminated in extreme low-light conditions or simply turned off completely. The Canon EOS 7D’s Intelligent Viewfinder offers 1.0 magnification with 100 percent coverage for accurate composition and checking of detail.

Canon’s latest digital camera also comes equipped with its new built-in Dual Axis Electronic Level enabling users to recognize when the camera is in a fixed level shooting position and ready to take the shot thereby helping easy leveling while shooting. Moreover, it features a built-in Integrated Speedlite Transmitter in order to manage and control multiple off-camera EOS Speedlites without requiring any external transmitter.

Another interesting feature namely Intelligent Macro Tracking allows users to experience blur-free shooting by identifying when a macro lens is attached and automatically adjusting the AI Servo sampling frequency. Users can now experience immense advancements in the Canon EOS 7D digital camera with its magnificently designed structure along with a better grip for ensuring maximum comfort and ease.

Other highlighting features include a new Quick Control Button that helps in opening an easy-to-navigate menu on the camera’s LCD screen. This facility ensures easy adjustment of all camera settings including AF modes with set custom buttons, an insightful new feature that can easily customize each button’s function to the photographer’s preference. Consumers can also add large JPEG or RAW file formats to their already selected shooting mode at the touch of a button with its unique RAW/JPEG toggle button feature.

A large and clear 3.0-inch strongly structured Clear View II LCD screen with 920,000 dot/VGA resolution offers users with improved clarity and color when viewing images. The device’s nine internal seals help in improving weather resistance, and its 150,000-cycle shutter durability turns photography into a phenomenal experience.

Canon is also planning to introduce its new WFT-E5A wireless file transmitter (WFT for the EOS 7D Digital SLR camera. It is expected that this wireless file transmitter will bring a broad range of digital connectivity options including IEEE802.11a/b/g and Ethernet. Users will be able to fire up to 10 camera altogether from any place while maintaining control over camera settings and remote live view on a laptop or smart phone. The wireless transmitter, can also transfer and display images on DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible televisions and photo frames. It also enables Geotagged shooting applications which is now available through Bluetooth.

The Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR camera is expected to be available by the end of September and is priced at $1,699.00 (approx. 83,202). The device in a kit version with Canon’s EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens will be priced at $1,899.00 (approx. 92.997). The Canon WFT-E5A wireless file transmitter is expected to be available in early November and will be priced at $699.99 (approx. 34,279).
