SageTV accepting pre-orders for HD300 network media player

Sage HD300 The numerous ways in which entertainment buffs can enjoy online videos, music, photos or their DVD or Blu-ray collection over the home HDTV just got wider. The SageTV HD Theater 300 network media player is now up for pre-ordering, with the estimated arrival date of the shipment being September 10. The said device lets users watch live or recorded HDTV content from a PC or Mac courtesy of the SageTV Media Center utility.

The HD300 now features HDMI 1.3 and support for Dolby TrueHD as well as DTS-HD/MA apart from 2-ch decoding of the supported audio formats. It’s touted to be easy to set with a wired or optional wireless network connection. The device accommodates MPEG1/2/4, H.264, WMV9, VC1, MKV, MOV, AVI, FLV, AAC, MP3, WMA, FLAC, JPEG, PNG and GIF formatted files.

The supplied infrared remote control boasts of a universal remote feature with three programmable buttons for tweaking power or volume levels on other devices. Users may also opt for the external IR receiver that enables the SageTV HD Theater 300 to be mounted behind a TV or in another room.

The SageTV HD Theater 300 comes bundled with a remote control, HDMI cable, power adapter, 1.5m Ethernet cable and breakout cable for composite video, component video and analog audio. It’s being sold for $149.95 (approx. Rs. 7,000).
