Slingbox Media has unveiled its new product, called the Slingbox PRO-HD at CES. It features multiple inputs and outputs such as digital audio and a digital (ATSC/QAM) tuner.
This latest high-definition device has the ability up to 1080i video content and 5.1 surround within the home to a computer. Moreover, you can also use the system to ship HD material to another HDTV through the approaching SlingCatcher.
Users can get similar HD quality streaming to remote locations, thanks to super high speed broadband connectivity.
The company has also launched the SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry phones. It offers the consumer to watch their place shifted home television on a smartphone utilizing a 3G cellular or WiFi data connection.
Slingbox PRO-HD will be released in Q3 2008 and cost around $399.99 (approx. Rs. 16000). The SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry is expected to be available later this year for $29.99 (approx. Rs. 1200).
