Honeywell unfurls Dolphin 6500 mobile computer

Honeywell Dolphin 6500 Honeywell strengthens its Dolphin 6000 product line with the all new Dolphin 6500 mobile computer. This lightweight solution has been designed to meet the needs of retail, supply chain, and other light-industrial environments. Sporting a large, color touchscreen display, multiple keypad options and also capabilities in data collection, imaging and communication, Honeywell’s feature-rich and value-oriented Dolphin 6500 mobile computer features the tools necessary for productivity and reliability.

The Dolphin 6500 comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen which allows viewing more of an application on the screen while it can also be used for the various in-store and back room operations. It also brings in two distinct keypad options – the 28-key numeric keypad and the 52-key alphanumeric keypad. Moreover, the lightweight form factor and ergonomic design of the 6500 enables single-handed scanning, allowing users to multi-task.

The 6500 also incorporates the Adaptus Imaging Technology which leads to high-performance data collection for linear and 2D bar codes, digital image capture, and intelligent signature capture and is also equipped with Microsoft Windows Embedded CE 5.0 operating system.

The Shift-PLUS power management technology offers a minimum 10 hours of battery life, ensuring continuous usage throughout an average workshift with no charging interruptions. Thus, it increases efficiency and lowers battery replacements. The Dolphin 6500 is now available to order and is also expected to start shipping this month.
