Nextar announces its new I4-BC navigation system at an affordable price. The Nextar I4-BC navigation system equips a back-up camera offering clear rear view up to seven feet.
The Nextar I4-BC navigation system easily fits into your pockets and features a 4.3 inch color touch screen, an in-built speaker, a text-to-speech function and voice-guided directions with turn-by-turn voice prompts. With the Wi-Fi technology, the navigation screen shows if anyone or anything is behind the vehicle while reversing. Making it more convenient and safer, if the driver makes a wrong turn than the system automatically takes a new route.
The camera can be easily attached to the top or bottom of the rear license plate, whenever the vehicle is put into reverse the backup lights come on and the camera is automatically activated. It helps the driver keep a check on the back end of the vehicle while reversing, thus avoids accidents or tragedies. Apparently, a bill has been passes to make rear visibility standard on all new vehicles.
The Nextar I4-BC comes with NAVTEQ maps of 50 US states and 10 Canadian provinces, maps include 1.6-million points of interest. Some of its additional features are an address book that stores up to 300 addresses, 2D and 3D viewing modes, day and night modes, SD memory card slot, supports MP3 playing and picture viewing and a rechargeable Li-Ion battery.
The Nextar I4-BC navigation system is priced at $260 (approx Rs. 10,956) with one year warranty and is available at the Nextar website as well as at the retailers and e-tailers in Canada and the US.
