Garmin Road Tech zūmo GPS System Launched

Garmin International Inc., has rolled out its latest GPS unit, called Road Tech zūmo for motorcycles. This GPS unit was especially customized for Harley-Davidson bikes and is now available at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and around the world in Harley-Davidson authorized dealerships.

According to Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales, “The Road Tech zūmo helps Harley riders plan and navigate their route with ease. Packed with all of the preloaded features that zūmo users have come to expect and appreciate, the Road Tech zūmo anticipates the needs of Harley riders everywhere.”

This waterproof GPS navigator sports integrated database of more than six million points of interests that includes hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions.

The Road Tech zūmo can be mounted on the handlebar of the bike easily. Additionally, it also allows users to swap routes and waypoints with other zūmo owners via the unit’s SD card slot.

The latest GPS unit by Garmin sports a unique glove-friendly design with left-handed controls and oversized touchscreen buttons. The device is also waterproof so it can accompany bike riders just anywhere.

For entertainment, the Road Tech zūmo is equipped with a radio. Besides, the bike-centric GPS system supports Bluetooth wireless technology, allowing you to converse on your phone hands-free.

Garmin Road Tech zūmo also comes with a custom mount to endure the harsh vibration environment.

Priced at $800 (approx. Rs. 34,400), the Road Tech zūmo is available for purchase from the Harley-Davidson authorized dealerships.
