Garmin has announced the Forerunner 405, Garming Colorado and Garmin nuvi 780 GPS systems in the US market.
The Forerunner 405 is a GPS-enabled fitness device. It helps runners to track their speed, distance, heart rate and location accurately. Thus the device makes workouts and fitness training sessions easy. The Forerunner 405 is water resistant and can be used outdoors or indoors (with an optional foot pod). It also helps cyclists to monitor their pedaling tempo and wheel speed. The fitness GPS device will be available in US for $299.
The Colorado uses Groundspeak’s wherigo platform through which Wherigo authors can build interactive adventure games, historical tours and other innovative activities for Wherigo players to enjoy outdoors. Garmin Colorado also includes a comprehensive Geocaching application supporting Geocaching.com’s geocache file format.
With Forerunner 405 Colorado Garmin has also introduced the nuvi 780, which displays Traffic conditions, Weather reports and News and stocks. It will be available in the American market at the price of $129.95 (approx Rs. 5,110).
