Hotly-anticipated Thermaltake Level 10 GT gaming computer case out now

Thermaltake Level 10 GTPutting together a high-performance gaming rig is no picnic and it does take a lot more than simply bundling in the memory, graphics cards or CPU. Thermaltake seemed to show gamers just how it’s all done when the Level 10 computer case was released in December 2009. An upscale to the enclosure, dubbed Level 10 GT was announced at this year’s CES. Developed jointly by Thermaltake and BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the case is up for grabs now.

The super gaming full-tower computer case appeared to have kept even the odd gaming enthusiast busy at the CES 2011 with its mouthful of features. An enhanced cable management system was revealed to help separate and channel cables via the grooves effortlessly. It also meant no untangling of the power cables when a graphic card or hard drive needs to be added. Besides making the system neater, the appropriately managed cable computer was said to enable better airflow too.

“[Level 10 GT] is a revision of the [Level 10] that is meant to be more affordable ($269 MSRP), but still keep the same styling as the original Level 10. This case has a ton of great features. The first is that there are 5 internal hot-swappable bays, each of these bays can fit 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives. These bays are easily removed by pressing in a button on the side and sliding them out. This case is designed to be a gaming case so there is a pull out headphone holder, which is perfect for LAN parties,” shared Bob Buskirk, owner of Thinkcomputers.org.

Among the other features packed into the system, there’s a replaceable top meshed panel on the Level 10 GT which comes complete with 200mm exhaust fan. It can be integrated with a 120mm or even 240mm water cooling system too. Gamers who constantly upgrade their graphics cards or memories will find solace in the hinged side-panel door fabrication. It’s suggested to work fine even for performing simple maintenances.

Users looking at adding more storage space will appreciate the included true hot-swappable hard drive caddies. The caddies are said to lend a helping hand to nearly all 3.5″ and 2.5″ SSDs. There’s no need to shut-down the system too when removing storage thanks the embedded hot-swap backplane. With the Level 10 GT, users are further ensured that all the included components are cooled in just the right manner. The trio of true 200mm fans along with an additional 140mm TurboFan on the rear enables massive airflow. The ColorShift control atop the chassis allows each of the 200mm fans to be managed as desired.

For those high on gaming or even the average PC enthusiast, the system comes standard with two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, an eSATA port and four USB 3.0 ports on the front. The fans are accompanied by a committed filter system while the locking systems for the door and caddies should keep thefts at bay. What’s more there are eight PCI slots that buttress Nvidia SLI or AMD CrossFireX multi-graphic card setups. The innards of this system are completely black-powdered.

Thermaltake’s Level 10 GT system can be picked up for a price of $279.99 (approx. Rs. 12,760).
