Gamers in small apartments and dorm rooms may like the latest Nyko Zoom for Kinect which claims to reduce the distance required to play games by 40 percent. The Zoom will be available in North America from 23 August.
Compatible with all Microsoft Kinect games, the Nyko Zoom consists of optical lenses to decrease the distance. The clip-on design makes it easy to attach the device to the Kinect sensor negating the need for cables and wires.
“The success of the Zoom at E3 was outstanding and we are incredibly excited to help expand the already thriving fanbase of Kinect gamers, allowing even more people to enjoy the thrills of being the controller,†stated Chris Arbogast, director of marketing at Nyko Technologies.
The play space reduction lens does not need to be charged or powered by batteries. It allows two people to enjoy Kinect games in small areas where initially only 1 person could play. Additional software, calibrations or tunings are also not required.
The Nyko Zoom for Kinect carries a price tag of $29.99 (approx. Rs. 1,333) and will be up for sale at authorized retail outlets and websites from August 23 in North America and Canada.
