Razer and BioWare tempt gamers with Dragon Age II collector’s edition peripherals

Razer Dragon Age II

When a company positions itself as one that caters to the gaming enthusiast, we do expect to see exciting things coming out of partnerships with developers like BioWare. Both Razer and BioWare have taken the veil off the Razer Dragon Age II product line to celebrate the launch of this game on PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The weapons arsenal for PC consists of the red dragon-embossed DeathAdder mouse, a Goliathus mouse mat and a BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard with blood-red backlighting. The aforesaid mouse embeds a 3500 dpi 3.5G infrared sensor and 1000Hz Ultrapolling combined with a 1ms response time. Designed with right-handed users in mind, the peripheral also hosts five Hyperesponse buttons and on-the-go sensitivity adjustment capabilities.

“Dragon Age II has mind-blowing, intense and primeval combat requiring the right set of gaming hardware to keep up, and only Razer can provide that,” enthused Robert Krakoff, President Razer USA. “Our Dragon Age II product line is designed to provide ultra-precise weapons like the Razer DeathAdder, BlackWidow, and Onza. All adorned in beautiful Dragon Age II artwork to make your gaming experience even more immersive.”

“We’re proud of the partnership we’ve forged with Razer to create Dragon Age II-specific peripherals,” remarked David Silverman, director of marketing for BioWare. “Razer has a proven track record for creating high-quality products for hardcore gamers, which makes for a perfect alignment with BioWare and specifically, Dragon Age II.”

Xbox 360 owners can pick up the Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller with its adjustable resistance analog sticks and graphics portraying Hawke. Fans are also being extended the Razer Goliathus and the messenger bag, both of which are covered with a picture of Hawke battling Darkspawn. Except for the messenger bag, the Dragon Age II Razer offerings arrive with the ‘The Ring of Whispers’ DLC in-game item.

The Dragon Age II Razer DeathAdder will be out through Razerzone in April for $69.99 (approx Rs. 3,200) or €69.99 (approx Rs. 4,400).
