InXile announces the Fantastic Contraption game for the iPhone and iPod

Fantastic Contraption Game InXile Entertainment has released the Fantastic Contraption game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The physics puzzle game challenges players to solve puzzles by building a machine.

In each level, the objective of the player is to move objects into the goal area. The players are allocated with a building area and few materials that they can use to build their machine. Users may also use rods and wheels to build mechanisms like slingshots, tanks, pulleys, catapults, tanks or conveyor belts. These devices will help players overcome the obstacles coming along their way at each stage.

“We know that people love to show-off their creations, much like an online Reality TV Show – that is joy of user generated content. Once players beat a level in Fantastic Contraption, they can easily download other people’s solutions or contraptions to see how they beat the same level. It is in that sharing of contraptions that player’s imaginations are stimulated and in the end, will provide iPhone and iPod Touch users with an almost endless supply of mind-blowing puzzles,” commented Brian Fargo, chief executive officer of inXile entertainment.

The Fantastic Contraption game will also allow iPhone users to share with others the mechanical device that they have created to solve puzzles. The players can show off their talent by creating new levels, using the level editor. These new levels can be shared later with other iPhone and iPod users. The Fantastic Contraption game is packed in with 21 original levels as well as an All Star Pack of 20 extra levels.

The Fantastic Contraption game for the iPhone and iPod is available on iTunes for $2.99.
