Black-colored Nintendo Wii and its peripheral with red DSi for Japan

Nintendo Kuro Wii and DSi

Since the launch of Nintendo’s gaming consoles, we have seen many color tones of the DS range of handhelds and sadly only one shade of Wii gaming console. Apparently, Nintendo has announced a new attire for the Wii and DSi for the Japanese market.

Slashgear hints that Kotaku got a word that Nintendo is planning to unveil a black Wii console. Good to know that Nintendo finally thought of other colors other than white for Wii! Accompanying this device are the same colored-controllers and accessories. Additionally, the rumor also suggests that a red DSi will also make it to Japan. The red shade will join the gang of white, black, pink, lime green and metallic blue hues!

The black Wii is whispered to be officially known as the Kuro Wii and would land in Japan on August 1, 2009 for 25,000 yen (approx. Rs. 12,170). Besides, the matching black Wii Remote, Nunchuk and Classic Controller Pro are predicted to sell for 3,800 yen (approx. Rs. 1,850), 1,800 yen (approx. Rs. 876.430) and 2,000 yen (approx. Rs. 970) respectively.

As far as the red Nintendo DSi gaming handheld is concerned, it is presumed to reach the stores in Japan by July 11, 2009 at a price tag of 18,900 yen (approx. Rs. 9,200).
