Glu Mobile has joined hands with Wachowski brothers, the makers of The Matrix trilogy, to develop Warner Bros.’ live-action film Speed Racer as a game for mobile phones. This movie was produced by Joel Silver.
It is based on a high-octane family adventure, features speed, exciting characters and storyline. Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing, Glu, explained “As buzz builds for the upcoming film, we’re excited to bring a truly engaging game based on this highly anticipated film to the mobile phone.â€
Additional mobile content such as wallpapers, ringtones, animated screensavers, voice tones and ringbacks will also be included by Glu. Now, Glu can reach Speed racer fans around the world through the mobile platform.
Glu will offer the Speed Racer mobile game in late April globally via its global network of wireless carrier and distributor. The original movie is expected to roll out in the US theaters on 9th May 2008.
