LG IPS4 series monitors to release in Asia this May

LG IPS4 Series Monitors

A certain Korea based manufacturer is all set to make the ‘dynamic viewing experience mainstream’ with the LG IPS4 series monitors. The integration of IPS panels instead of TN in these displays makes for better color reproduction, improved picture quality as well as a wide viewing angle, according to the company.

The viewing angle of up to 178 degrees eliminates color shift regardless of the position of the viewer, this results in better image rendering. The smooth color change feature is responsible for doing away with the blurring effect usually witnessed during motion sequences in movies, games or sports.

“Despite strong sales and dominating the professional market, IPS monitors were less popular with the majority of consumers due to the cost of high-quality IPS panels. With the launch of the affordable IPS4 series, LG is taking a huge step in making IPS monitors ubiquitous in every room,” quoted J.J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of IT Business Unit of LG Home Entertainment Company.

The aforementioned better color reproduction can be attributed to the color consistency and minimal color changes, which go on to make these monitors apt for photographers and video editing purposes. Additionally, the Dual Smart Solution attribute launches a setup to support dual monitors or display dual web spilt screen as well as dual taskbar for online multitasking. The energy-efficient devices have also been included with the cable management system for a clutter-free desktop.

The LG IPS4 series monitors release date and price details have not been mentioned. But they will be made available in Asia during May. They are slated to be released in North America and Europe in a few weeks.
