3D technology has certainly become more prevalent and is picking up excellent momentum to satiate the growing requirements of consumers. Keeping up with the changing needs, LG has announced the launch of its two Cinema 3D monitors namely D41P and D42P which flaunt the company’s Film Patterned Retarder 3D technology.

This innovative technology enables the units to render sharp images and a Flicker-Free certified 3D picture. The offerings are capable of delivering clearer, detailed 3D images and reducing eye strain with LG’s FPR technology. The LG Cinema 3D glasses are lightweight and not bound to any electrical part.

“Although 3D is one of the hottest items in technology today, some consumers are holding back from purchasing 3D products because of concerns over performance and price,” commented Si-hwan Park, Vice President of the Monitor Division, LG Home Entertainment Company. “With Cinema 3D Monitors, we’ve addressed all these concerns. The advanced picture quality, more comfortable glasses and competitive pricing makes it very hard to keep put-ting off 3D.”

The units lend support to various graphics cards and home PC operating systems. Besides HDMI 1.4 capabilities, the solutions sport a remarkable 2D to 3D conversion function to transform regular content into 3D without any glitches.

The LG Cinema 3D monitors will be available in Korea beginning today and are anticipated to hit shelves globally early June starting in Europe.
