Just a while back we reported that the attractive LG Optimus Pad will be displayed at the MWC 2011. The company has finally doffed the silk off its Optimus Pad which flaunts a stunning 8.9-inch display screen for an enhanced user experience.

Powered by the Android 3.0 platform and the Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor, the tablet comes equipped with a 3D camera which offers full HD 1080p decoding. This stylish device claims to be an ideal travel buddy and can be easily slipped into a purse or handbag. The screen is capable of delivering 15:9 aspect ratio and 1280 x 768 WXGA resolution.

“With a flood of tablets hitting the market, we felt strongly that the LG Optimus Pad needed to set a new standard for what a tablet should be,” commented Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “We think the LG Optimus Pad achieves the right blend of portability and viewability with no performance compromises.”

Featuring an easy-to-use interface, the tablet entertains users with a wide range of Google services such as Google eBooks, Google Maps and Google Talk. The solution comes pre-loaded with videoconferencing and can be easily connected to 3D TVs using HDMI capabilities. Gamers can cheer since they can effortlessly access an extensive range of console-quality games via the Tegra Zone app.

The LG Optimus Pad is expected to be shipped in local markets beginning in March.
