Acer HR274H 3D Display

The next addition to gadgets which can convert 2D content to 3D is the Acer HR274H 3D monitor. Working on a chip-based solution, users can view videos, games, images in 3D and more on this monitor, even if they are not created in that format.

The 27-inch monitor renders 1920 x 1080p resolution visuals and allows gaming on any 3D enabled PC or Blu-ray Disc console gaming along with widescreen movie playback and some other applications. The device also offers direct access to YouTube and 3DVisionLive.com, which open up several games, movies, images, and videos in 3D.

“The Acer HR274H delivers the highest level of realism available for fans of 3D games, TV programming, movies and photos,” conveyed Chris White, senior director of product marketing, Acer America. “Every detail is so clear, bright and rich in color, immersing yourself in your favorite game or movie has never been so utterly exhilarating.”

With an HDMI cable, the monitor can also be connected to gaming consoles, cameras, cable set-top boxes and more. The gadget ships with 3D glasses which are incorporated with film-patterned retarder (FPR) technology. This should reduce viewing problems such as eye strain or fatigue, while delivering non-flickering images.

The polarized glasses do not require batteries and ghosting is eliminated since they do not need to be synchronized with the display. Additionally, it claims to maintain an eco-friendly existence verified by its RoHS compliance, Energy Star certification, and recyclable packaging.

The Acer HR274H 3D monitor price is announced to be $599 (approx. Rs. 30,940) by the company. It is now available with leading retailers in the U.S.
