JVC adds DLA-SH7NLG 4K projector to D-ILA family

JVC DLA SH7NLG

This next offering by JVC follows close on the heels of Canon’s six new projectors that we reported earlier in the day. The 10MP 4K DLA-SH7NLG will join JVC’s line-up of D-ILA projectors. The device is touted to be suitable for museums, simulators, medical institutions, high-spec design and monitoring facilities.

The DLA-SH7NLG comes with three 1.27” 4K2K D-ILA display devices and 330W ultra-high-pressure mercury lamps that provide 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness. It is capable of displaying two or four screens in WUXGA 1,920 x 1,200p resolutions in simultaneously and renders a low latency mode for simulation environments.

Its chassis hosts four DVI dual-link input terminals and three types of lenses like short-focus and telescopic models are available for different projection environments. The projector’s wire-grid optical engine offers 10,000:1 native contrast ratios and a low-power mode helps extend lamp life of around 3,000 hours.

The projector’s operational flexibility allows for the display of 3D images or installation on a +/- 90° tilt. This 110 pound device permits users to adjust convergence to 1/10 pixel accuracy through GUI control with three gamma tables being included. Image adjustment without external signal sources is supported by six test patterns consisting of color bars and a cross hatch.

Projection configuration data can be stored and uploaded from a USB memory device and the projectors Ethernet compatibility means that owners may configure it through a PC web browser and multiple projectors are networkable for operation via a single PC. What’s more, e-mails can be generated to automatically send lamp replacement reminders and error status notifications.

JVC is selling the DLA-SH7NLG 4K projector for $1,50,000 (approx. Rs.68,25,371) with a year-long labor and parts warranty.
