iKey has been churning out a number of rugged peripherals and input devices such as custom keyboards and displays for industrial, medical and military environments. The company has now launched the iKey IK-PDS-1502, IK-PDS-1703 and IK-PDS-1902 flat screen displays that are claimed to have been crafted to survive harsh environments.
The 15†IK-PDS-1502 LCD display delivers 350cd/m² of brightness and supports 16.2M 8-bit RGB colors. It exhibits image resolutions of 1024 x 768p and a response time of 8ms. The screen’s contrast ratio is calculated to be 700:1 and it weighs about 10.9lbs. The dimensions of the panel measure 15.7″ x 11.8″ x 1.5″.

The IK-PDS-1703 is a 17″ LCD display that exhibits approximately 300cd/m² of brightness and projects 16.7M 6-bit RGB colors. It comes with resolutions of 1280 x 1024p along with a response time of 5ms. The panel reproduces a contrast ratio of 800:1 and weighs approximately 15.65lbs. The dimensions of the IK-PDS-1703 are 16.1†x 14″ x 2.1″.
“The IK line is suited for our customers in food and beverage manufacturing, material handling, and industrial automation because of its robust features. Not only can it be sprayed down, but it can successfully operate in areas where normal systems may periodically fail due to debris and liquid in the air,” added Cade.
The IK-PDS-1902 is a 19″ LCD screen with 300cd/m² of brightness and displays a 16.7M colors with RGB 6-bit. It flaunts a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and resolutions of 1280 x 1024p. Besides offering a response time of 8ms, the panel weighs 14.33lbs with dimensions of 19″ x 14.8″ x 2″.
Each of the slim, touchscreen displays are designed to be resistant to dust, dirt, liquids and corrosives besides possessing an IP65-rated front panel. They are engineered specifically for wet as also dry areas and operate between temperatures ranging from 0° C to 50° C. The displays have been designed for VESA mounting, wall-mounting, panel-mounting and wall-embedded installation.
Details regarding the pricing and the availability of these new iKey displays are unclear for now.
