Collins America recently unveiled its Cinema View displays for the Mac. The newly introduced display series includes the CinemaView 47, CinemaView 24 and a tuner dubbed Cinema TV.
The 24-inch Cinema View 24 offers a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a 0.277mm pixel pitch. The device is bundled with 16.7 million 8-bit colors and presents a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The display incorporate four USB 2.0 ports and weighs 18.9 lbs. The device presents a view angle of 170/160 degrees and brightness of 300cd/m². It is inclusive of VESA adapter and wall mount feature.
The 47-inch Cinema View 47 is apparently a crossover TV and PC display. It presents same resolution as that of the 24-inch display. However, it offers a higher contrast ratio of 4000:1. The device provides a higher brightness of 500cd/m² than the previous one and presents a view angle of 176/176 degrees.
The company has also introduced TV tuner in the form of the CinemaView TV. This tuner is packaged with Mini DisplayPort w/HDCP, four HDMI w/HDCP, component video and composite video input. It comes inclusive of a six button RF remote.
The 24-inch display would be probably available by October, 2009, whereas the 47-inch CinemaView seems to hit the stores by January 2010 along with the TV tuner. The Cinema 24 comes with a price tag of $499 MSRP, while the 47-inch is more expensive and costs around $1499 MSRP. The TV would apparently cost $399.
