JVC has made six new additions to its D-ILA home theater projector lineup. The newly launched projectors include the DLA-RS35, the DLA-RS25, the DLA-RS15, the DLA-HD990, the DLA-HD950 and the DLA-HD550. All these projectors are said to feature a contrast ratio of 70,000:1 while four of them are THX certified. The contrast ratio supported by these projectors is said to be the highest ratio currently available in the market.
The projectors incorporate JVC’s 120Hz Clear Motion Drive technology that reduces motion blur and optimizes the projector for different screen types. The DLA-RS35, DLA-RS25, DLA-HD990 and DLA-HD950 are certified by the ISF and include the ISF C3 mode along with the company’s latest picture modes. All these four models are also certified by THX.
Featuring 0.7-inch full HD D-ILA devices and the company’s wire-grid optical engine, these projectors claim to deliver unprecedented native contrast. They also eliminate the dynamic iris. These features deliver true blacks and luminance details.
The DLA-RS35 and the DLA-HD990 are backed by a three year warranty. Both these projectors are said to deliver exceptional performance. Major features of these projectors are similar. All the six projectors include HQV Reon-VX video processor that is developed by Silicon Optix for excellent image reproduction. They also include 1.4 – 2.8:1 zoom lens with motorized focus. The focus features a large diameter and an all-glass lens system.
The projectors also allow users to adjust the gamma curve via an on-screen display. The set-up of these projectors is flexible because of the ±80 percent vertical and ±34 horizontal motorized lens shift function. The other features include external 12-volt trigger, V-Stretch mode, automatic lens cover and support for HDMI version 1.3.
The JVC D-ILA home theater projectors will be made available from this September. Both DLA-RS35 and DLA-HD990 are expected to be priced at $10,000 (approx. Rs. 4,85,820) while DLA-RS25 and DLA-HD950 will retail for around $8,000 (approx. Rs. 3,88,660). The DLA-RS15 will cost $5,500 (approx. Rs. 2,67,203) while the DLA-HD550 will be price tagged at $5000 (approx. Rs. 2,42,902).
