Every new energy-saving innovation may not be just green, but cost-effective too. NEC Display Solutions of America lengthens the AccuSync line with AS191, AS191WM and AS221WM energy-efficient desktop monitors.
The AS191 and AS191WM boast of 19â€widescreens, touch integratable, space-saving and down-firing multimedia speakers with headphone jack properties. The aforementioned models are fitted with a two-step eco-module that renders two energy-saving modes. The AS221WM monitor comes with a 22†widescreen. The company claims that their EPEAT Silver rated, Energy Star 5.0 and TCO 5.0 compliant products use up just a little over half the electricity imbibed by their prototypes.
Talking about the company’s latest product, Lynn Gu, Product Manager, NEC Display Solutions remarked, “NEC’s AccuSync Series has continually provided business users with the features they need to accomplish day-to-day work and the components that keep them up-to-date with the latest display technology. These three new models carry on that long-standing tradition of dependable, high-quality and environmentally-responsible desktop monitors without the large price tag.”
The AccuSync devices have VGA and DVI connectivity and tilt adjustability features. They have a 5ms response time and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 as well as a carbon footprint meter to calculate carbon savings. The company offers a 3-year parts and labor warranty.
The AS221WM will be out in October 2009 at $249 (approx. Rs 11,866), while the AS191 and AS191WM are scheduled for release in November 2009 at $199 (approx. Rs.9,485) and $189 (approx. Rs.9,008), respectively.
