Sharp intros AQUOS XS1 and D65 Range of LCD TVs

Sharp XS1 AQUOS LCD

Introducing the next-generation of home entertainment technology, Sharp has announced two new series of AQUOS LCD TVs, namely XS1 and D65. Both LCD TVs support 1080p HD and 100-hertz technology.

In the XS1 AQUOS Series of ultra large and ultra slim LCD TV, Sharp has introduced 52″ and 65″ TVs that comes with a 2.3 cms thin body. The key features include a 6ms response time and an advanced contrast ratio of 10,000:1, a gallery mode to display images in the full-HD format through the supported USB drive, five 2.1 channel speakers and a slim, detachable speaker system.

Furthermore, the Sharp XS1 series of LCD TV sport 100-hertz picture enhancement technology and has the ability to deliver full-HD resolution of 1,920 x1,080p. For a convenient viewing angle, the skinny LCD TV can be mounted on the wall.

Next in the kitty is the Sharp D65 AQUOS flaunt the signature slim-line and piano black finish and includes features like contrast ratio of 20,000:1 and a brightness of 450 cd/m2, an integrated DVB terrestrial tuner for picture perfect quality, support for high-definition signals in 1080p format.

Other features include High-Fidelity sound and a 10w audio output, low-power standby and an energy-save feature to reduce power consumption, making the D65 series the most stylish and elegant display TV with power saver efficiency. In the D65 AQUOS series, Sharp has unleashed various screen sizes that comprise of 32″, 37″, 46″ and 52″ models.

The Sharp AQUOS XS1 and D65 series of LCD TVs are scheduled to hit the UK market by October 2008. Price is not yet known.
