Fujitsu extends Wide-Aspect Ratio Touchscreen Panel Series

Fujitsu Logo With the launch of new touchscreens, Fujitsu Components America is working hard to grow the touchscreen LCD panel market by improvising on wide-aspect ratio. The company has introduced 4-wire resistive touch panels that sport standard wide-aspect ratio to leave behind the burden of custom development costs for OEMs.

The company has expanded its touch panel’s line-up in 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios. The screen sizes (diagonally) of these LCDs are 6.5-inch, 7.0-inch, 8.0-inch, 8.9-inch, 9.0-inch, 10.2-inch, 12.1-inch, 13.3-inch and 15.3-inch. In addition, the touchscreen LCD panels also offer options for palm rejection and light force touch activation.

Bruce DeVisser, Fujitsu Components’ touch panel product marketing manager, explained, “Demand for wide-aspect ratio, touch-enabled displays is increasing in many consumer, industrial and medical applications due to the increasing high-resolution graphics and video content, which has a landscape orientation in a 16:9 aspect ratio.”

In today’s world, the demand of touchscreen interface has increased, eliminating the need of a keyboard. Thus, the latest extension will surely prove to be lucrative to Fujitsu.
