KRK Systems Rokit G2 Monitors announced

KRK Logo KRK Systems unveils the second generation of their standard Rokit monitors. The Rokit monitors incorporate several technologies from the flagship VXT and E8B lines. The new Rokit replaces the current Rokit 5”, 6” and 8” models.

With radical curved surfaces and enhanced voicing, the generation 2 Rokit monitors sport a dynamic look. The Rokit monitors have been providing musicians, songwriters, producers and remixers with economically priced monitors with meaningful mixes which translate to all listening environments. The new Rokit keeps up to this legacy by providing a more modern and sleek look with good functionalities such as elimination of diffraction distortion.

“KRK has always been respected for engineering monitors that accurately reflect what is going on in the mix” said Tony Rodrigues, Vice-President of Marketing for KRK Systems. “Even in this day of ‘sweet’ sounding monitors that demo well in the store but fall down in a mixing environment, KRK has stayed true to its commitment of providing accurate, honest tools for home, project and professional studios,” added Rodrigues.

KRK’s research and development into baffle design and fabrication has helped in minimizing Rokit G2’s diffraction of high-frequencies. The baffle houses a front-facing bass port that reduces low-frequency phase distortion and unwanted frequency thus resulting into harmonious and accurate frequency components. Rokit G2’s voicing has been enhanced to provide better clarity and precision.

Available at leading music retailers around the world, Rokit G2’s are priced at $149, $199 and $249 for the 5-, 6- and 8-inch versions respectively.
