LaCie has unveiled its latest LCD monitor called LaCie 324. Featuring 24-inch a screen, the display is equipped with S-PVA panel with 93 percent NTSC gamut for high-end color.
This new monitor also comes with a 10-bit gamma correction mechanism, a 16:10 wide-screen format, which enables the user to view two letter-size (A4) pages side by side with additional room for palettes and toolbars.
Compatible with 1080p HD video, it features Faroudja DCDi and TrueLife video technologies for superior video content. Furthermore, noise removal and adaptive contrast feature are also available to accentuate the productivity of moving images. The company’s easyHood is also incorporated to decrease glare in brightly lit work environments. The LaCie easyHood is a one-piece monitor hood with anti-reflective black velvet lining.
Daniel Mayer, LaCie’s Color Business Unit Manager, commented “The LaCie 324’s feature set broadly addresses the needs of creative pros dealing both with fixed-images, as in graphic design, photography and publishing as well as with motion pictures, as in post-production and game development.â€
LaCie’s 324 LCD monitor can work with four simultaneously connected computers or video sources through its VGA, DVI and two HDMI ports. It is also compatible with HDCP for Blu-Ray and HD DVD. It is also said that users can also view two of these sources in pictured-in-pictured mode. It comes packed with the company’s blue eye pro that provides an extensive set of tools that includes manual fine-tuning of the white point, test and report to verify profile accuracy and profile switching without the need to recalibrate.
The LaCie blue eye pro is its professional, single-click hardware calibration solution that is faster, more precise and much more convenient for the user than traditional manual calibration methods.
In addition, the LCD monitor is also equipped with a touch sensitive control panel, a built-in three-port USB 2.0 hub and a speaker/headphone port to connect the screen with most peripherals, easily.
The LaCie 324 LCD monitor is expected to roll out by the end of this month and the price will start from $1050 (approx. Rs. 42,000).
