D-Link DSM-210 Wi-Fi Internet and Widget Controlled Digital Photo Frame Debuted at CES

D-Link DSM-210 Wi-Fi Digital Photo Frame D-Link has introduced its new internet photo frame, named the DSM-210 at CES. It allows the consumer to manage content that is displayed on the screen with the help of the drag and drop desktop widget and convenient website, dlink.framechannel.com.

Users are given the freedom to arrange their photos online that will later be showcased on the photo frame. Moreover, remotely streamed content that includes weather, news, trivia and other popular Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds are also available.

D-Link offers built-in wired and wireless adapters that enables the owner of the digital photo frame to quickly drag and drop digital photos into photo frames by a ‘widget’ that would be located on the computer desktop. This then automatically displays the photos as a slide show on the photo frame.

Talking about the widget, it helps consumers to remotely organize a frame, photos or the content over the Internet, which will be connected over a wired or wireless home network. It delivers high-resolution image viewing experience with a 10-inch LCD display.

In addition, the DSM-210 sports 512MB of internal memory, 16:9 screen, an interchangeable black or white frame, USB and memory cards slot, Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection and rechargeable battery.

Owners will also be allowed to customize the frame’s outer portion with whatever color or pattern, thanks to D-Link’s custom skins.

Priced at $249.99 (approx. Rs. 10,000), the D-Link DSM-210 Wi-Fi digital photo frame is expected to roll out in the first quarter of 2008.
